We are seeking a dedicated AssistantRadiation Safety Officer to join our team and play a critical role in advancing radiation safety in a cutting-edge healthcare environment. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of cancer patients and their families, supporting safe and effective use of radiation in clinical and research settings.

Position Overview

On-Site | Flexible Schedule

As a key member of our radiation safety team, you will help ensure compliance with regulatory standards while supporting innovative cancer treatments. This on-site role offers a flexible schedule, providing balance while maintaining strong collaboration with clinical teams. Candidates with management or leadership experience will have opportunities to mentor others and contribute to program direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and oversee radiation safety programs in medical and research environments
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations
  • Conduct radiation monitoring, surveys, and risk assessments
  • Collaborate with oncology, radiology, and research teams to support patient care
  • Provide training and guidance on radiation safety protocols
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient and staff safety

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Health Physics, Medical Physics, or a related field
  • Experience as a Health Physicist or Medical Health Physicist in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of radiation safety regulations and best practices
  • Management or leadership experience
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Required Qualifications
  • This position is subject to 24-hour call-in response to patient care and emergency situations. Position will require participation in the medical surveillance program.
  • Requires work in areas that may involve animal research.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in addition to a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

The target hiring range for this job profile is $111,100 - $145,250 annually. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.

Position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
