Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary

The Assistant Project Manager is a pivotal role in managing and executing high-value heavy-highway and heavy-civil construction projects. This position involves significant responsibilities in project coordination, team supervision, financial management, and compliance, along with proficient use of specialized construction management software.
  • Coordinate and oversee project planning and execution, using Oracle P6 Scheduling Software for schedule management.
  • Ensure project milestones and goals are achieved within the set timelines and budgets.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive) for creating presentations, reports, and effective information sharing.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Employ Microsoft Power BI for advanced reporting, data analysis, and progress tracking.
  • Actively engage with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are effectively managed and addressed.
  • Provide regular project updates and maintain transparent communication channels.
  • Assist in managing project budgets, utilizing Excel and Viewpoint Vista ERP System for financial tracking and reporting.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to budgetary control and financial optimization.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with quality standards, safety regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Use Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation for design verification and quality assurance.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks, developing effective solutions to challenges encountered during project execution.
  • Implement and oversee risk management strategies and contingency plans.
  • Support in leading and developing the project team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Contribute to team training and skill development initiatives.
