Full Job Description
The University of Virginia Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and UVA Health Cancer Center seek a Director of Cancer Rehabilitation. This is a tenure-ineligible, Assistant Professor position on the Clinical Faculty track.

The Director will provide and/or coordinate the implementation of high-value cancer rehabilitation medical care for patients with impairments and disabilities resulting from cancer and its treatment.

Care will be provided to patients of all cancer types including Breast, Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary, Gynecologic, Head and Neck, Hematologic malignancy including stem cell transplantation, Neurologic, Thoracic/Lung, Melanoma and Bone.Soft Tissue. Treatments will include management of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders, rehabilitation of bone disorder, radiation fibrosis syndrome, cancer related fatigue and cognitive impairment, lymphedema and neuropathies. Procedures will include landmark and US guided injection procedures, botulinum toxin injections and integrative techniques including dry needling and/or acupuncture.

Qualifications

Candidate must have a medical degree and be board-certified in PM&R with subcertification in Cancer Rehabilitation.
