Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (ADOR) - RPT or OTRThe Californian | Pasadena, CAThis is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who enjoys both clinical care and leadership and is interested in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy skilled nursing rehabilitation department.
Responsibilities:- Assist the Director of Rehabilitation with daily department operations and clinical oversight
- Maintain an active clinical caseload while supporting department needs
- Support staff scheduling, productivity, caseload management, and appropriate utilization of therapy services
- Assist with Medicare Part A and Part B processes, documentation compliance, and timely completion of evaluations and progress reports
- Collaborate closely with nursing, MDS, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team
- Support quality outcomes, Section GG documentation, discharge planning, and continuity of care
- Mentor and support therapy staff while promoting a positive and collaborative work environment
- Assist with maintaining compliance with facility, payer, state, and federal requirements
- Provide leadership coverage and support in the Director of Rehabilitation's absence
Qualifications:- Current California license as a Physical Therapist (RPT) or Occupational Therapist (OTR)
- Skilled nursing/post-acute rehabilitation experience preferred
- Prior leadership experience preferred but not required
- Strong clinical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Medicare Part A/Part B, PDPM, and rehabilitation documentation preferred
- Experience with Net Health or similar rehabilitation EMR preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with therapy staff and the interdisciplinary team
