Assistant Director, you'll play a key leadership role in the daily operations of our Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP), helping ensure clients receive high-quality, compassionate, and responsive care. You'll mentor and support staff, partner with families and community providers, and help drive program success through effective leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to positive client outcomes. Responsibilities:- Work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to assist the director in overseeing the overall quality and operations of the program.
- Act as STRTP Administrator in managing the day-to-day operation of the short-term residential therapeutic program.
- Provide direct supervision of program managers, direct care, and administrative support staff, as assigned.
- Provide leadership to the program staff team, cultivating a program culture that supports safety, engagement, collaboration, and ongoing learning.
- Ensure appropriate care and supervision is provided to youth in accordance with applicable law, licensing regulations, and the facility's policies.
- Oversee the planned activities required to be available to youth per Community Care Licensing (CCL) regulatory requirements.
- Support the director in management of applicable program facilities to ensure safety and a warm and welcoming environment of care.
- Provide leadership in the delivery of high-quality client care grounded in Seneca's values, guided by the principles of Unconditional Care, and in adherence to relevant governing standards.
- Perform personnel functions for all staff, including overseeing hiring, professional development, evaluation, and termination.
- Cultivate effective partnerships with applicable county offices, school districts, law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other community providers, and facilitating effective training for partners, as requested.
- Engage in data-based program assessment activities to evaluate effectiveness and guide improvement.
- Utilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's Equilibrium model training.
Qualifications:- Eligible for STRTP Administrator certification per STRTP Interim Licensing Standards by meeting one of the following qualifications:
- Have a master's degree in a behavioral science from an accredited college or university, plus two years of employment as a social worker, as defined in California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Section 80001 (s)(4), in an agency serving children or in a residential congregate care program for children. OR
- Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, plus at least three years' administrative experience or supervisory experience over social work, direct care and/or support staff providing direct services to children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of six or more.
- Demonstrated record of providing effective supervision and leadership of diverse program teams.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage complex tasks in a timely manner.
- Effective facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills; ability to build collaborative relationships across teams.
- At least 21 years of age.
- TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies' insurance policy.
Schedule- Full-time, On-site
- Monday - Friday, flexibility with some weekends
- Administrator for 24 hour on call services
Benefits- Starting at $103,434 - $117,434 per year
- Actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role.
