ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING
Luxury Residential Property • Miami Beach, FL • USD $130,000 - $140,000 per year

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Assistant Director of Engineering for a luxury residential property in Miami Beach. Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, this is a senior technical leadership role responsible for supporting all engineering and facilities operations across the property. The successful candidate will work in close partnership with the Residential Chief Engineers and collaborate extensively with the Residential Management Team to ensure the highest standards of building performance, safety, and resident satisfaction.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Support the Senior Director of Engineering in overseeing all engineering operations, maintenance, and facilities management across the residential property
  • Lead, supervise, and develop the engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and service
  • Implement and manage preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programmes to ensure optimal performance of all building systems
  • Oversee the work order system, ensuring all requests are prioritised, tracked, and completed to a high standard
  • Liaise with the Residential Management Team and resident services to resolve engineering matters promptly and professionally
  • Manage contractor and vendor relationships, ensuring quality, compliance, and cost efficiency
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and work orders; support budget management and capital planning
  • Ensure full compliance with all building safety regulations, fire codes, and operational standards
  • Maintain technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building management systems


WHAT YOU BRING
  • Strong engineering and facilities management experience, preferably with a residential background
  • A solid understanding of luxury residential operations and the elevated service expectations that come with them
  • Proven leadership experience supervising a team of engineers or maintenance technicians
  • Technical proficiency across building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety
  • Experience implementing and managing preventive maintenance programmes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across residential management teams
  • Proficiency in work order and building management systems
  • Valid US work authorization required
