Essential Functions:
Supports the Corporate Controller in overseeing the organization's general ledger and overall accounting operations across multiple laboratory entities.
Oversees all accounting activity feeding into the general ledger, including accounts payable, cost accounting, and other operational accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Oversees the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting of financial results.
Ensures accounting activities and financial reporting are conducted in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
Supports intercompany accounting activities, including overseeing the preparation, recording, and reconciliation of intercompany transactions, as well as analysis of foreign currency impacts on financial results.
Oversees the preparation of financial reporting and supports budgeting and forecasting processes by providing general ledger data and inputs to the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) team.
Ensures consistent application of accounting policies and procedures across all entities, with a strong focus on maintaining effective internal controls and continuously improving accounting processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Participates in both external audits and lender reviews and other financial examinations as required.
Hires, manages, develops, trains, mentors, reviews, and sets goals for department and staff.
