JOB SUMMARY:The Assistant Coach position supports the varsity athletics program at Northeastern University, reporting to the Head Coach. This role is responsible for assisting with practice and game-day decisions, player skill development, and administrative duties as assigned. The Assistant Coach plays a key role in identifying, evaluating, and cultivating prospective student-athletes from across the country while upholding all Conference and NCAA regulations. This position requires availability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:- Assist the Head Coach with practice and game-day decisions, developing training drills for player skill development and leading positional portions of practice
- Scout opponents and provide analysis to support competitive preparation
- Identify, evaluate, and cultivate prospective student-athletes from throughout the country in accordance with Conference and NCAA regulations
- Attend departmental meetings, programs, and clinics
- Assist with fund-raising efforts as needed
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Head Coach
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 2-3 years of coaching experience required, preferably at a Division I program
- Collegiate playing experience preferred
- Thorough knowledge of recruiting practices and understanding of Conference and NCAA regulations
- Previous experience with budgeting procedures and strong communication and management skills required
- Must be available to travel and work evenings and weekends as required

Expected Hiring Range:$76,335.00 - $107,823.75
With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
