Varies to meet needs of department. M-F with occasional weekend split shift. 8-hour shifts with 11-7p/3-11p start times.

Pay Range:
$44.15 - $66.25

Assistant Clinical Manager - Surgical ICU (SICU)

Chicago, IL (Lakeview Neighborhood)

Full time; Mon-Fri with occasional weekend split shift

Where You Will Work:

SICU is a 20-bed unit that provides nursing care to wide scope of surgical and trauma critical care patient population; including post cardiac surgical cases.

We're Looking For:
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS
  • 3-4 years of nursing experience in Critical Care
  • Experience as a charge nurse (1 year)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills/experience

What You'll Do:

This position assists the Manager of Clinical Operations in the SICU providing administrative and clinical leadership on all shifts. The Assistant Clinical Manager will help plan, coordinate and manage personnel and resources to provide the highest quality patient care with trained professional and competent staff in the most cost-effective manner. This role will also assist in the provision of ongoing educational and professional development of staff. In conjunction with the manager, the Assistant Clinical Manager will collaborate with physicians and other health care disciplines to assure optimal patient care.

Accountabilities:

Performance of the principle duties and responsibilities of the RN position and serves as a role model for professional practice

In collaboration with the Manager of Clinical Operations manages patient care delivery to optimize patient outcomes customer satisfaction and efficient resource management

Promotion and support of an environment that is conducive to staff growth and development and autonomy
