The Department of Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions. We are accepting applications from outstanding candidates in all areas of computer science.
In addition to all core areas within CS, we encourage candidates with strong technical grounding in computer science whose work creates opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, including potential partial or joint appointments in other departments at The University of Texas at Austin. As part of UT Austin's School of Computing, Computer Science has close ties with the Department of Statistics and Data Sciences and the Department of Information, creating additional opportunities for joint appointments and cross-disciplinary research. We are also particularly interested in candidates advancing AI for Science, as well as those working specifically at the intersection of computer science with neuroscience, biology, or medicine.
All interdisciplinary candidates are encouraged to send applications to all relevant departments for better university-wide coordination. Candidates working at the intersection of CS and Neuroscience are particularly encouraged to send applications to both departments to facilitate an explicit joint search. Qualifications
All tenure-track positions require a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in computer science or a related area at the time of employment. Successful candidates are expected to pursue an active research program, to teach both graduate and undergraduate courses, and to supervise graduate students in research.
