JOB DESCRIPTION

Job summary:

As a Tax Smart Investment Specialist - Vice President on the Custom Management Account Solutions team team you will be responsible for all commercial and client-facing activity within the investment team, partnering with portfolio managers, researchers, technologists, and other functions in growing the business and delivering the best possible service to both internal and external parties.

Job responsibilities:

  • Client meetings – educating clients on tax smart investing and JPMAM’s Tax Smart capabilities, and providing guidance to Financial Advisors on how to deliver the best outcomes to their end clients
  • Conference presentations/webinars – serving as a speaker, panelist, and/or moderator to raise awareness of JPMAM’s Tax Smart expertise and capabilities
  • Presentation materials– developing and maintaining client presentations (pitch books, custom analyses, etc.) and other marketing materials, partnering with portfolio managers, other investment specialists, and marketing teams to create and revise materials as appropriate.
  • Client service - providing account updates and responses to ad-hoc client queries, including assistance in navigating different aspects of a client’s tax-smart investment journey (e.g. account transitions, on-going tax management, and gifting/spending needs
  • Request for Proposals (RFPs) and questionnaires – responding to RFPs and monthly/quarterly/ad-hoc questionnaires. You will work with client advisors, their sales associates, and RFP writers to craft answers that highlight JPMAM’s main competitive advantages.
  • Internal product manager – supporting relationships with sales channels and serving as initial point of contact for questions from external and internal client advisors
  • Competitive analysis - gathering, analyzing, and maintaining a warehouse of information about our industry peers and their competitive products.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • The environment is fast-paced and demanding. Flexibility and teamwork across different teams within and outside the product group is required
  • Ideal candidate has at least four years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in Asset Management
  • Intellectual curiosity, with knowledge of equity or tax-managed strategies as a plus
  • Ability to deliver results in a timely and accurate manner, frequently under tight deadlines
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt and innovate in a rapidly expanding and evolving investment product landscape
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to unsupervised follow-up
  • Series 7 & Series 63 are required within 90 days of starting

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Strong communication skills 6 including strong written and verbal skills
  • Executive presence, exceptional aptitude, positive energy, and confident demeanor
  • Positive attitude and creative thinking 6 ability to take direction from team while recognizing when to challenge the status quo and drive efforts to improve processes
  • Proficient in Excel & PowerPoint (Python, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, and Bloomberg knowledge are a plus)
  • CFA designation or desire to pursue designation is preferred
