The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, as a Delivery Consultant you will be proficient in security for architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You'll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. As trusted advisors to our customers, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions, you will be responsible for leading the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project.
Key job responsibilities
- Build and implement cloud solutions using AWS services with guidance from senior team members, ensuring they meet defined functional and non-functional requirements.
- Participate in workload discovery, requirements gathering, and preparation of engagement-related presentations to support your team's delivery efforts.
- Write scripts, configuration files, and code examples that demonstrate effective use of AWS services, applying best practices and maintaining consistent quality standards.
- Identify, escalate, and communicate risks and issues in your assigned tasks using data where applicable, collaborating with your team to resolve them promptly.
- Contribute to technical documentation including status reports, design documents, and requirements specifications while gathering and analyzing data to support recommendations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of cloud architecture and designing and implementing cloud solutions experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on-premise technologies (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP)
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Experience with QA, testing, helpdesk, IT support, or any technician or quality assurance type work
- Experience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- AWS Solutions Architect Certification
- Knowledge of the primary AWS services such as EC2, ELB, RDS, VPC, Route53, and S3
- Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution in a school project or while working for a company
- Experience with infrastructure as code, ops automation, and configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
- Experience with software development life cycle (sdlc) and agile/iterative methodologies
- Master's degree or equivalent
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
