Full Job Description
Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to help develop sensor circuits used in scribe-line applications. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with strong hands-on depth across analog and digital design, verification, custom layout, and design automation. The work sits close to real silicon, with opportunities to influence circuit development, improve engineering workflows, and turn data into better design decisions.

You will work with a cross-functional team to create robust sensor solutions that support characterization, monitoring, and product development. The role requires strong technical execution, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to move efficiently between circuit design, verification, automation, and analysis.

What You Will Do

  • Design analog and mixed-signal circuit blocks for scribe-line sensor applications

  • Support digital design for sensor control, integration, and readout functions

  • Develop and run analog verification flows, including simulation setup, corner analysis, and results review

  • Develop and execute digital verification strategies to ensure functional correctness and integration quality

  • Build and maintain EDA scripting and automation to improve design and verification efficiency

  • Drive or support custom layout implementation with attention to matching, parasitics, reliability, and manufacturability

  • Analyze simulation and silicon data using Python and pandas to identify trends, debug issues, and guide design improvements

  • Collaborate with design, layout, CAD, and test teams to move circuits from concept through validation

Qualifications

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • B.S. with 8+ years or M.S. with 5+ years in related industry roles.

  • Strong experience with EDA scripting and automation

  • Strong background in analog design

  • Experience with analog verification

  • Experience with digital design

  • Experience with digital verification

  • Experience with custom layout

  • Strong Python skills for data analysis, including pandas

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work across disciplines in a fast-moving development environment

Preferred Experience

Mixed-signal or sensor-circuit development

Silicon characterization and correlation of measured data to simulation

Workflow improvement through scripting, automation, and data analysis

Debugging complex circuit and verification issues in advanced development flows

Why Join Us

This is a hands-on role with broad technical scope and direct impact on silicon development. You will work on meaningful sensing and monitoring circuits, improve the tools and flows that support them, and help shape high-quality engineering execution from design through validation.

This position is based in Austin, TX.

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
