ASRC Federal Technology Solutions LLC is looking for an AI Engineer - Intermediate with a Secret clearance to support their work with the U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) Chief Information Officer (CIO) G6 at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The AI Engineer will work with a small, focused team of other AI Engineers and a Data Architect supporting the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) tools across ACC. These tools will enhance decision-making, optimize workflows, improve communication, and automate key project management functions.
The engineer will work on cross-functional collaboration efforts with data scientists, cybersecurity experts, and subject matter experts. Solutions will leverage AI technologies such as Palantir Foundry, Microsoft Copilot, and other enterprise AI platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Work in an AI/ML team supporting enterprise-wide automation, analytics, and insight initiatives
- Coordinate technical delivery of AI solutions aligned to mission-specific use cases
- Design, develop, train, and optimize machine learning models for real-world application
- Evaluate model performance and implement improvements based on user and system feedback
- Analyze and preprocess large datasets for use in AI/ML pipelines
- Deploy AI/ML models in secure, on-premises environments, ensuring performance and scalability
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and refine solutions for maximum impact
- Use platforms such as Palantir Foundry and Microsoft Copilot to create actionable insights and automation tools
- Draft documentation and provide guidance on AI usage to non-technical users
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in AI/ML.
- Experience with one or more:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- AI/ML platforms such as Palantir Foundry, Microsoft Copilot, or similar enterprise tools
- Using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Prompt engineering
- Preprocessing and analyzing large data sets
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and guide technical teams
- Ability to define and document AI/ML use cases in coordination with stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience working in AI/ML initiatives within DoD or federal government environments
- Familiarity with Agile development and MLOps practices
- Exposure to Python-based ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PyTorch)
- Experience integrating AI models into enterprise software systems
CLEARANCE LEVEL- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited or CAE-designated institution
