Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:- Perform physical patient assessment by attaining medical histories, examining, and treating patients of all ages.
- Order and evaluate diagnostic testing. Identify proper diagnosis and create appropriate plan of care.
- Treat minor injuries by suturing and splinting. Provide immediate evaluation and treatment in response to emergency medical problems.
- Initiate referrals to other practitioners or admit patients where appropriate.
- Monitor patient progress, instruct, and counsel patients, and order or carry out therapy.
- May be responsible for managerial duties, such as ordering medical supplies or equipment and supervising medical technicians and assistants.
- Provide leadership and guidance to clinic staff.
- Incorporate quality improvement data and/or patient satisfaction data in clinic goals.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of regulations applicable to patient care and/or other clinic functions.
- Attain all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames.
- Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
Skills, Education and Experience:- Master's degree in Nursing and hold current certification ARNP.
- Licensed to practice as RN in the state of Iowa.
- Must be registered under both state and federal Controlled Substances Acts
