Interface with external safety organizations, review boards, and airworthiness authorities to negotiate and establish tailored software safety requirements aligned with Launched Effects operational profiles.
Serve as an active voice within the broader Army aviation and safety communities, clearly communicating the unique technical, cost, and operational nuances of LE platforms compared to conventional aviation platforms.
Prepare technical positions, executive white papers, and risk-trade briefings to drive consensus and facilitate process modernization across multiple echelons of Army leadership.
Guide and support the development of safety documentation, risk mitigations, and hazard analyses required for safety releases, Airworthiness Releases (AWR), Materiel Releases, and discrete Soldier test and operational fielding events.
Evaluate vendor software system safety analyses, safety architectures, and hazard logs to identify core system hazards and ensure safety integrity without levying unnecessary programmatic burden.
Rapidly adjust software safety priorities, approaches, and risk mitigation strategies in response to shifting program timelines, emerging threat demands, and iterative fielding cycles.
