This is an opportunity to join the IERUS team as a Systems Engineer supporting a large Missile Defense Agency program.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and publish corporate business automation plans using cost-effective delivery technologies to support major corporate strategies
  • Performs complex software design integrating multiple technologies
  • Provides architectural guidelines for all software design activities across current and future technology environments
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of technologies, planning, design, and analytical methodologies
  • Responsible for the design and architectural guidelines for current and future software technology initiatives
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to lead a team of high-performing individuals across a multi-site, multi-disciplinary organization
  • Ability to analyze high-level needs and, through a structured, logical approach, refine them into an evolving architecture that culminates in a fielded product

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD with 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Willingness to travel between development sites (Colorado Springs or Huntsville) may be required
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, can work independently, and possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment
  • Must be a self-starter who can initiate research and clearly document results
  • Must possess a strong understanding of system software deployment architectures and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)
  • Must have demonstrated leadership skills over software projects
  • Ability to document architectures using system modeling tools, such as CAMEO or Enterprise Architect
  • Ability to understand and decompose requirements to support verification and validation testing of software components
  • Ability to generate detailed, repeatable, automated test procedures
  • Ability to extract data to support analysis requirements
  • Ability to generate procedures that test functionality
  • Ability to apply Agile and Lean Product Development principles and to train others in a DevOps-type environment
  • Should understand the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS)
  • Able to write and implement engineering plans for a project.
  • Proven experience working in a team environment is required
  • Previous experience should demonstrate the technical skills and responsibilities for the position cited here
  • Will have previously architected automation pipelines to enable effective development in environments with rapidly changing requirements, design challenges that require novel solutions, fast-paced work, and tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification: INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification
  • Certification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP - MBF)
