As an Armed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. What You'll Do:- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and policy concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and carry authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and site-specific policies.
- Support a professional environment by monitoring access points, assisting with directions or requests, and reporting security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Have 3 or more years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, or armed guard, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
