The Area Sales Leader is responsible for overseeing and leading the activities of the Regional Sales' Departments. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans, and justifying those plans to the upper management. Their duties also include hiring and training sales staff, relaying information from upper management to department staff about sales quotas and generating leads to divide among Sales Representatives.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, preferably within the fire protection, life safety, security, or construction-related industries, and a proven ability to develop new business while growing existing accounts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Hires and trains regional and local sales teams.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules, territories, and performance of regional and local sales teams.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Provides leadership to the sales teams.
- Motivates and encourages sales team to ensure quotas are met.
- Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
- Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
- Generate new opportunities for: Fire Alarm Systems, Security Systems (Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection), Fire Sprinkler Systems, Portable Fire Extinguishers, Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance Services, Monitoring Services, Retrofits and System Upgrades.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, facility managers, contractors, engineers, property managers, and end users.
- Act as a trusted advisor regarding life safety compliance and fire protection solutions.
- Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
- Prepares sales budget; monitors and approves expenses.
- Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Education/Qualification: - Bachelor's degree in business, Business Administration, or related field, OR
- Comparable record of sales leadership experience required.
- At least five years of sales experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- List any applicable education/qualifications.

Physical Requirements:- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $80k - $110K + bonus
