Full Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Works directly with the Materials group and Production Manager(s) to schedule upcoming preventative / predictive maintenance tasks
  • Plans and directs daily preventative / predictive maintenance tasks for all shifts and provide follow-up verification of completed tasks.
  • Review Plex data to continually enhance preventative / predictive maintenance tasks to reduce unplanned downtime year over year.
  • Ensures availability of materials, anticipating requirements and re-ordering.
  • Follow up to ensure spare parts are ordered and set up in the crib for new equipment.
  • Participates in production and shift to shift meetings. Deliver expectations on issues that need specific attention in order to meet customer requirements as well as make recommendations on how to accomplish the tasks at hand.
  • Participates in the selection, development, training and discipline of Maintenance Team Members and Team Leaders.
  • Review Plex data to ensure Maintenance Team Members are being utilized effectively (85% utilization goal).
  • Performs performance appraisals making recommendations on promotions or other changes in status of the Maintenance Team members and Team Leaders.
  • Supports and maintains all maintenance functions in the plant to include: OSHA Regulations, ergonomics, safety of equipment, equipment quality and efficiency and uptime requirements.
  • Supports Quality and Environmental Management Systems, in accordance to the ISO14001 program.
  • Supports continuous improvement and cost saving activities utilizing technical and advanced techniques.
  • Responsible to maintain compliance with organizational policies, and safety standards.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations.
  • Responsible to conduct investigations and meetings to resolve Team Member complaints.
  • Responsible for confidentiality, open and honest communications.
  • Has the authority to stop production operations with respect to safety or quality concerns. Primarily responsible for plant waste disposal.
  • Treats all other team members with respect and dignity.
  • Performs other essential functions as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Prefer five (5) year supervisory / managerial experience in a metal stamping facility or equivalent automotive manufacturing background
  2. Prefer Journeyman's Card in the Maintenance field.
  3. Prefer maintenance experience in electrical, welding, schematics, hydraulics, and mechanical power presses fabrication and pneumatics.
  4. Degree preferred, but not required.
  5. Ability to multi-task.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Computer literate, good managerial and leadership skills, good verbal and written communication skills, people oriented and good problem solving and organizational skills.
