Position Summary: Will be responsible for performing: various auditing functions of established procedures and processes to ensure compliance; quality training and development. Requires strong PEQ product knowledge.
Job Description:
• Manages the work activities of department personnel to achieve maximum quality and productivity of the department
• Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees
• Maintains job results through coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
• Resolves personnel issues to include hiring, counseling, discipline, pay, benefits, and termination
• Works with other Manufacturing Area Managers to establish priorities
• Schedules and coordinates vendor and sub-contractor audits and reviews
• Ability to document, track, and communicate audit findings to the appropriate department head and Quality Manager
• Responsible for reviewing component or system failures and facilitating required process/procedure changes to correct future failures
• Reviews new or updated production processes and/or test procedures
• Responsible for interpreting, supporting and communicating Quality Assurance policy, processes, and procedures published by the Quality function
• Interprets drawings, customer specifications and standards of moderate complexity
• Addresses quality issues related to non-conforming material or components, and obtain timely disposition to maintain production flow
• Maintains a safe, secure, and productive working environment for department personnel
• Has comprehensive knowledge of ASME, ANSI, ASNT, ASTM, AWS, NACE, API, ASIC and SSPC national codes
• Maintains an attitude conducive to progress through positive change, continuous improvement, and an active contribution to the teamwork concept
• Excellent communication skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
• CWI REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of PEQ product line and/or vessel fabrication process.
• AWS - Certified Weld Inspector required
• Basic knowledge with Excel, Word, and Outlook
• 5+ years' experience in a Manufacturing Quality role.
