Full Job Description
Specialist, Quality - Pipeline Located: Houston Summary The Specialist, Quality - Pipeline reports to the Director, Quality and will be a subject matter expert in Pipeline Quality at Venture Global. The position is a key position in the Pipeline Operations and Projects Groups and will build, support and develop strong working relationship within the group, other corporate stakeholders, and associated construction contractors, vendors, suppliers, etc. It is an essential role in delivering operations project success and meeting expectations and requirements. Additionally, driving a strong safety culture, environmental stewardship and operational excellence, while delivering a safe and operable plant and maintaining a license to operate will underpin this leadership position. General Description Duties & Responsibilities - Management systems to ensure the organization's operations maintain compliance with operational procedures, project plans, specifications, drawings, international codes, standards, and all regulatory requirements. - Identifying areas for improvement throughout the assurance and quality value chain, conducting after action reviews, focused on delivering a proactive role in developing plans, procedures, and tools to enhance operational effectiveness and driving a culture of operational excellence. - Development of a quality control and quality assurance framework for the pipeline operations function which would then be applicable across all assets. - Develop run and maintain a Pipeline Operations and Projects completion program, to ensure completions assurance activities are performed to the highest standards. - Development and implementation of a quality audit program encompassing all functions for all operations assets. - Leading and managing third-party contract support as needed during development and implementation of the QA/QC framework - Liaising with vendors, contractors and suppliers as needed to communicate VG QA/QC expectations, perform audits as-needed and provide guidance on implementation and compliance with VG Quality expectations. - Support pipeline operations projects and outages in developing execution plans and will ensure that fit-for-purpose plans and procedures are developed by each project/function as a basis for excellence in execution. - The role covers FEED, engineering, procurement, fabrication, site construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and transition to operations. Qualifications Required experience - Minimum 10 years experience in quality control and/or quality assurance from a technical perspective, within the energy industry. - Experience with audits, inspections, and vendor evaluations. - Well-articulated with excellent written and verbal communication, planning, computing, technical, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Ability to perform multiple tasks, work within project deadlines and adjust as priorities change. - Have advanced computer experience with Smartsheet, SharePoint, BI, Adobe, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel Work products. Preferred Experience - Experience within the Pipeline industry considered an asset. Licensing & Certifications - Ability to obtain a TWIC Card
