The University of Miami Health System (“UHealth”) Facilities Operations & Planning Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Architect in Miami.

The Architect oversees and plans all architectural aspects of construction projects. Specifically, the Architect performs design computations, compiles data, and completes architectural assignments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepares project estimates and architectural plans as assigned.
  • Inspects structures in the field.
  • Writes specifications, coordinates with material manufacturers, and inspects raw materials.
  • Selects, evaluates, and implements architectural procedures and techniques to use in the completion of projects.
  • Formulates architectural reports and specifications.
  • Reviews completed architectural plans and estimates.
  • Approves final specifications and ordered materials.
  • Provides overall guidance on project objectives and concepts.
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience required.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
