Position Summary:The Applications Specialist provides technical applications and process expertise to support customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders by translating processing challenges into effective, value-driven equipment solutions. The role is hands-on and customer-facing, combining laboratory testing, engineering judgment, and technical communication to enable successful equipment selection, demonstrations, and customer adoption.
Essential Functions:Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct laboratory, pilot, and production-scale testing of customer materials using Fitzpatrick, Quadro and Matcon equipment
- Analyze test results and prepare clear technical reports and documentation
- Serve as technical liaison between Customers, Sales, Engineering, and Product teams
- Support sales activities including demonstrations, presentations, and customer visits
- Explain and demonstrate equipment operation, capabilities, and benefits
- Remain current with industry trends, technologies, and customer processes

Education and/or Experience: - Post-secondary education in Engineering (Process or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent
- 2-5 years applications engineering experience (Applications Specialist)
- Hands-on experience with powder and liquid processing equipment
- Strong communication, analytical, and customer-facing skills
- Technical applications support for powder (and in senior role, liquid) processing equipment
- Hands-on customer lab testing, sample evaluation, and technical reporting
- Customer interaction, demos, presentations, and occasional travel (regional & international)
- Strong emphasis on engineering judgment, customer problem-solving, and communication
Language Skills: - Strong written and verbal communications required. Ability to interact clearly and confidently with all levels in the organization.
Total RewardsThe compensation range for this position is $69,200.00 - $103,800.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
