Job Requirements

The Epic Resolute Professional Billing (PB) Application Analyst II is responsible for the design, build, testing, implementation, and support of Epic PB applications that support revenue cycle operations. This role directly impacts claim processing, billing accuracy, reimbursement, and overall financial performance.

Core Responsibilities

Application Build & Configuration
  • Design, build, and maintain Epic Resolute PB system components (e.g., charge router rules, workqueues, fee schedules, contracts, and master files)
  • Configure and optimize workflows to support billing operations and regulatory requirements
  • Document build and maintain configuration standards for traceability and quality assurance

Testing & Implementation
  • Develop and execute unit, integrated, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Support environment migrations and validate build during releases and upgrades
  • Participate in go-lives and post-implementation stabilization activities

Operational Support
  • Troubleshoot system issues, analyze root cause, and implement solutions
  • Manage ServiceNow incidents and requests related to PB workflows
  • Provide end-user support and resolve workflow inefficiencies.

Revenue Cycle Optimization
  • Support claims processing, edits, and resolution workflows
  • Assist with denial management and workqueue optimization
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, throughput, and reimbursement outcomes

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Revenue Integrity, Revenue Cycle Operations, and clinical teams
  • Work with analysts, leadership, and third-party vendors to implement solutions
  • Participate in governance, prioritization, and roadmap discussions

Reporting & Data Support
  • Support reporting tools (e.g., Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer) for billing analytics
  • Assist in developing and validating reports for operational and financial metrics


Work Experience

  • Epic Resolute Professional Billing certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience supporting Epic applications, preferably in PB or revenue cycle
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing workflows (claims, payments, adjustments, denials)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and project coordination


Benefits

Pay Range: $33.36 - $46.70
