This position is part of Novanta's ATI Industrial Automation business unit. ATI is the world's leading developer of robotic end of arm technologies. Summary

ATI Industrial Automation is seeking a dynamic, proactive and bilingual (Spanish speaking) Application Engineer to manage our Tool Changer and Material Removal product lines. This role is a perfect fit for an individual with a strong foundation in engineering principles and a passion for robotics and automation. It is a remote role based in Texas covering the US and Mexico.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide product technical support to customers in the pre-sale and post-sale process
  • Accompany sales personnel on customer visits to identify new opportunities and assist in closing sales by providing technical expertise and product knowledge.
  • Conduct product demonstrations using Robots and presentations to showcase product capabilities at tradeshows, conferences, and customer sites.
  • Develop novel applications for ATI products using Robots and publish videos and application notes
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to customers in a timely fashion.
  • Use Salesforce for case management and customer support.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive product and process innovation.


Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Controls, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Spanish and English fluency.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in the automation industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience and familiarity with Robot (Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, etc.) programming is desirable.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
