Job DescriptionUW Medical Centers have an exciting opportunity for an
Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care team. The APP will provide exceptional, evidence-based advanced practice medical care to high-risk and well newborns and their families.
EDUCATION & LEADERSHIP- Support and educate residents
- Train and onboard new Advanced Practice Providers in neonatal care
- Collaborate with nursing leadership
- Promote professional development of Neonatal APPs
- Support recruitment and retention initiatives for Neonatal APPs
RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide comprehensive neonatal care under the direct supervision of the attending neonatologist
- Function independently within scope of practice
- Ensure continuity of care for neonatal patients and families
- Bill for services rendered, as appropriate to role
SCHEDULE- 90%
- Variable days and night
REQUIREMENTS- Current, valid Washington State license as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C)
- Current Washington State Prescriptive Authority License
- ARNP: Current NCC certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
- PA: National board certification (ANA or NAPNAP)
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation certification
- Master's degree from an accredited program
- Three or more years of experience as an NNP or PA in a Level III NICU
- Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
Compensation, Benefits and Position DetailsPay Range Minimum:$138,720.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:$210,684.00 annual
Other Compensation:Night shift differential $4.50/hr.Evening shift differential $2.50/hr.Weekend shift differential $4.00/hr.Relocation availableOvertime eligible
