Full Job Description
Role Summary

The Art Director is responsible for leading creative development and execution across the Art Department's print-focused initiatives, including promotions, store signage, and marketing events, activations and gifting. This role provides art direction and creative guidance to a team of designers, while partnering closely with Creative Operations and cross functional teams to manage projects from initial brief and concept through production and final execution.

The Art Director is also an active creative contributor, supporting concept development and taking on design for more complex or early-stage projects as needed.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide art direction, creative guidance and design feedback to a team of designers across multiple levels.
  • Review incoming briefs, assign project ownership and establish creative, design and production direction.
  • Lead creative development across promotions, store signage, and marketing events, activations and gifting, while supporting campaign and broader brand initiatives as needed.
  • Review and develop work through multiple rounds of creative feedback, ensuring a high level of design and brand consistency.
  • Concept, design and develop higher-level or more complex projects that require additional creative exploration and ideation.
  • Partner closely with Creative Operations to manage priorities, project timelines, workload and resources across the team.
  • Manage and direct freelance creative support as needed.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Visual, Copy, Marketing Operations, Store Operations and other cross-functional partners to workshop creative solutions and problem-solve throughout project development.
  • Oversee projects through production and final execution, including proof review, print production considerations, materials and substrate recommendations, signage implementation and mock-store presentation.
  • Represent the Art Department in cross-functional briefings, creative reviews and higher-level meetings.
  • Present creative work and recommendations to senior creative leadership and communicate feedback and direction back to the design team.


Role Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in an Art Director or comparable creative leadership role, with experience managing and directing designers.
  • Strong graphic design, typography and art direction skills with a sophisticated visual sensibility.
  • Fashion, retail or lifestyle brand experience highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of print production processes, with experience across signage, packaging, large-format graphics and printed collateral.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; experience working within Asana or a comparable project-management platform.
  • Ability to independently lead multiple projects from concept through production while managing competing priorities and tight timelines.
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate creative direction and rationale.
