Role Summary

We are looking for an Art Director to support the daily creative execution of PDP photography, ensuring fashion is presented in a way that feels elevated, aspirational, and inspiring while clearly showcasing the product. This highly collaborative, on-set role partners closely with photographers, stylists, hair and makeup artists, and production teams to create compelling imagery that reflects the brand's fashion point of view and drives customer engagement. The ideal candidate is passionate about fashion and fashion photography, with an exceptional eye for styling, silhouette, model presentation, and visual storytelling, and thrives in a fast-paced studio environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Create elevated, inspiring PDP imagery that reflects Anthropologie's fashion point of view while keeping the brand relevant, aspirational, and culturally connected.
  • Partner with photographers, stylists, and hair and makeup artists to bring product and styling to life in a way that feels aspirational and emotionally engaging.
  • Ensure exceptional standards for styling, silhouette, fit, proportion, and overall product presentation.
  • Guide daily hair and makeup direction to support styling and enhance the overall fashion story.
  • Interpret seasonal trends and creative direction through the Anthropologie lens.
  • Edit and select imagery that best captures the product, styling, and brand aesthetic.
  • Bring a strong fashion perspective and creative eye to every stage of the image-making process.
  • Stay connected to fashion, photography, art, and culture to continually evolve and elevate the customer experience.


Role Qualifications

  • Experience art directing fashion photography in a retail, e-commerce, or editorial environment.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong fashion sensibility, visual storytelling, and model direction.
  • Passion for fashion, styling, and fashion photography.
  • Proven ability to create imagery that is both aspirational and commercially effective in a high-volume production environment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital photography workflows and creative tools, including Capture One and Photoshop.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools for creative concepting, visual exploration, moodboarding, and inspiration.
  • Familiarity with collaborative design tools, including Figma.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and energized by the evolving worlds of fashion, photography, and visual culture.
