Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to bridge the gap between Data Engineering and Business Intelligence by designing, building, and maintaining reliable, scalable, and well-documented data models. The ideal candidate will transform raw data into trusted datasets that empower business users, analysts, and leadership to make informed decisions. You will work closely with data engineers, data analysts, product teams, and business stakeholders to develop analytics-ready data solutions.
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models for reporting and analytics.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets.
- Develop and maintain data transformations using SQL and modern data transformation frameworks.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance through testing, validation, and documentation.
- Collaborate with data engineers to integrate data from multiple sources into centralized data warehouses.
- Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Create semantic data models and metrics that support self-service analytics.
- Optimize query performance and improve data processing efficiency.
- Develop dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools.
- Maintain data documentation, lineage, and metadata.
- Support data governance, security, and compliance initiatives.
- Stay updated with modern data engineering and analytics best practices.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling (star and snowflake schemas).
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes and modern data transformation tools.
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Basic proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for analytics engineering.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Prefect.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
- Familiarity with version control using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
