Position Overview: The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting Diligent' s financial planning and analysis efforts across assigned regions or business areas. This role provides deep insights and actionable recommendations that inform both strategic and operational decisions. The Senior Financial Analyst leads budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling activities, while partnering closely with cross-functional teams and business leaders to drive performance and operational efficiency. The successful candidate demonstrates advanced analytical skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence stakeholders through clear, data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, maintenance, and enhancement of financial reporting packages, models, and dashboards to support business decision-making
- Analyze, consolidate, and interpret complex financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and actionable business insights
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/quarterly management reporting processes, ensuring alignment with company goals and financial statements
- Prepare and present financial materials for leadership and Board meetings, providing analysis and recommendations
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Accounting, Sales Operations, HR, Product, etc.) to support financial planning, process improvements, and strategic initiatives
- Perform advanced ad-hoc financial analyses to guide key operational and strategic decisions
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, tools, and processes for enhanced efficiency and data accuracy
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts as needed, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing
Required Experience/Skills - 2-5 years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, or FP&A
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (CPA, CFA) a plus
- Strong financial analysis, modelling, and forecasting skills, with the ability to handle complex datasets and provide actionable insights
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts, macros, etc.) and familiarity with financial systems or BI tools
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and influence decision-making across multiple teams
- Strategic mindset, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders
- High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
U.S pay range
$90,000-$124,000 USD
