DescriptionJoin our ASC Team at our Blue Ridge Surgery Center as an Administrator!The ASC Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the daily operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as standards established by accrediting organizations. This role provides leadership in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of policies and procedures that support the safe delivery of high-quality patient care. Acting under the authority delegated by the Governing Board, the ASC Administrator provides strategic and operational direction to achieve the organization's mission, clinical excellence goals, and financial objectives. The Administrator oversees operational initiatives, promotes regulatory compliance, ensures efficient resource utilization, and fosters a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
RequirementsQualifications and Experience- Minimum of 5 years of executive-level experience managing a physician practice. Knowledge and experience working with orthopedic surgeons is preferred
- B.S. in Business Administration or related clinical field. A master's prepared with an MBA or MHA strongly preferred
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:- Develops clinical procedures that ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality care is provided.
- Develops appropriate admission and discharge procedures and assures preadmission criteria are appropriately met.
- Researches and prepares cost reduction proposals and implements them as applicable.
- Evaluates patient care and reports significant patient issues appropriately.
- Assures compliance with all policies and procedures and governmental regulations pertaining to controlled substances and legend drugs, including sample medications, infection control, patient confidentiality, CPR, ACLS, safety, and risk management in collaboration with the Safety Coordinator and HR, quality improvement and quality assurance emergency codes and evacuation, professional Licensure, DOH, Medicare JCAHO/AAAHC, MQC, and all other voluntary and regulatory requirements.
- Assists with analysis and utilization of clinical data.
- Initiates quality assurance measures for purposes of system changes/improvements.
- Provides oversight for the safety committee.
- Ensures all personnel are appropriately trained, licensed, and credentialed.
- Monitors staff for compliance with continuing education requirements.
- Directs and evaluates delegated tasks according to the scope of practice.
- Supervises the development of job descriptions.
- Provides supervision for assigned staff including unlicensed personnel
- Performs other duties as assigned.
