Job SummaryThe Ambulatory Pharmacy Operations Manager shall plan, organize, and supervise all pharmaceutical and financial activities occurring in respective ambulatory pharmacies, complying with all departmental and organizational policies and procedures, federal, state and local laws governing the practice of pharmacy, and the rules and standards established by regulatory agencies (Medicare, Medicaid, HRSA, etc.) involved in the provision of health care.
JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation: - Graduate of college of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education
Licensure:
- Current license to practice Pharmacy in the State of Georgia (with no restrictions) required
- Certified Immunizer or become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
- BLS certified.
Experience:- Minimum of two (2) years in retail pharmacy.
- Minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory capacity in retail pharmacy.
- Knowledge of retail pharmacy financial systems, healthcare reimbursement, pharmacy purchasing, pharmacy technologies, computerized pharmacy systems, Federal and State laws and regulatory guidelines governing pharmaceutical practice and controlled substance procurement, storage, and dispensing compliance.
