Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced Advisor-Level Intelligence Analyst to support the Joint Country Force Assessment (JCOFA) Production Task at the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC). The Advisor serves as a senior producer and technical authority responsible for structured data accuracy, JCOFA methodology adherence, and mentoring junior analysts within the JACOB production environment. This role ensures high-quality, defensible intelligence data supporting DoD and Intelligence Community force assessments.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead production, validation, and refinement of structured JCOFA datasets in the JACOB environment.
  • Conduct advanced all-source research to assess foreign ground force structure, readiness, equipment holdings, doctrinal organization, and modernization efforts.
  • Resolve data conflicts by applying authoritative sources, doctrinal logic, and established OB rulesets.
  • Ensure accuracy of unit hierarchy, TO&E values, SPIRIT/MIDB equipment codes, and structured data lineage.
  • Produce analytic summaries, structured data explanations, and JCOFA production artifacts for NGIC and partner intelligence centers.
  • Support government-led review cycles, including CAPE coordination and multi-agency analytic integration.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level analysts on OB standards, JCOFA methodology, structured data logic, and production workflows.
  • Deliver briefings, updates, and technical documentation aligned with IC production standards.
Qualifications

Experience 

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in all-source intelligence, structured data production, foreign ground forces analysis, or military force structure assessment.
  • 2–3 years of direct experience in JCOFA production, OB database work, or JACOB usage strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated senior-level tradecraft expertise, including structured analytic reasoning, data validation, and interpretation of foreign military doctrine.
  • Experience leading analytic tasks or mentoring junior analysts.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in intelligence studies, international relations, political science, military studies, or a related field OR equivalent military intelligence experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred but not required.

Technical Proficiency

  • Proficiency with JACOB, JACOB Map, MIDB, C3Net, SymbolMaker, or similar OB/structured data systems.
  • Strong understanding of OB production rules, SPIRIT equipment records, MIDB codes, and foreign ground force doctrine.
  • Ability to produce ICD 203/206-compliant narrative assessments and structured data documentation.

Security Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI.  
  • Must comply with all DD254 and IC security policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting NGIC or other service intelligence centers (NASIC, ONI, NSIC, MCIA).
  • Experience in modernization modeling or force projection analysis.
  • Familiarity with NGIC analytic SOPs and digital production standards.
Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
