The Role:
Sunbit is seeking an AI Specialist, Finance to design, build and run AI agents and automations for the finance organization. This individual contributor role will partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, IT, Security and Data.
Requirements
What you'll Own:
Map finance processes with the accounting and FP&A teams, and identify where AI and automation deliver real value: reconciliations, classification and coding, close tasks, reporting packs, variance commentary, vendor and invoice handling.
Build, test and deploy agents and automations on top of the finance systems (NetSuite and others) and the data warehouse, using APIs and integration tools.
Design each workflow with controls in mind: human review points, logging, audit trail, access limits and clear ownership, so it passes internal and external audit.
Evaluate build, buy and partner options, including outside vendors and consultants, and keep the tool stack simple.
Measure results (hours saved, error rates, close time) and report on them regularly.
Train finance team members to use and supervise the tools, and document how every workflow works.
Work with IT, Security and Data on data access, privacy and model risk.
What You'll Bring:
4+ years building automation or AI solutions in a business setting, ideally with finance or accounting workflows.
Hands-on experience with LLMs and agent frameworks, prompt and evaluation design, and integrating them with business systems through APIs.
Strong Python or similar, and comfort with SQL and data pipelines.
Good understanding of finance processes (close, reconciliations, AP and AR) and of why controls and auditability matter.
Ability to explain technical choices to accountants and finance leaders.
NetSuite or other ERP integration experience, SOX or ITGC familiarity, and a fintech background preferred.
How We Pay:
We believe in paying fairly and equitably based on a number of factors including but not limited to previous experience, relevant work history, interview performance, geographical location, internal equity, and expected level of ownership.
