TheAI Solutions Engineer is a strategic technology, business transformation, andhands-on engineering leader responsible for identifying, developing, building,implementing, and driving adoption of artificial intelligence and automationsolutions across the organization. This role serves as the bridge betweenbusiness operations and emerging technologies, ensuring AI initiatives generatemeasurable business value, improve operational efficiency, enhancedecision-making, and support organizational growth.
Thisposition partners with executive leadership, division leaders, and operationalstakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, advancedanalytics, and AI-enabled decision support. This position combines strongbusiness acumen, technical understanding, project leadership, and changemanagement to successfully implement solutions across sales, distribution,fabrication, service, finance, and administrative functions. The successfulcandidate will operate as a high-level individual contributor, servingsimultaneously as a strategic advisor to leadership and the primary technicalbuilder who writes code, configures data pipelines, and deploysproduction-ready AI applications.

• Develop and execute theorganization's AI strategy aligned with business objectives, operationalpriorities, and growth initiatives.
• Partner with executive anddivision leadership to identify opportunities where AI, automation, andadvanced analytics can improve efficiency, profitability, customer experience,and decision-making.
• Establish and maintain anenterprise AI project roadmap based on business impact, implementationcomplexity, organizational readiness, risk, and return on investment.
• Evaluate emerging AItechnologies, platforms, vendors, and industry trends to identify opportunitiesfor operational and competitive advantage.
• Serve as a trusted advisorto executive leadership regarding AI capabilities, limitations, risks,opportunities, and strategic investments.
• Directly design, code,develop, implement, and manage the full lifecycle of AI-driven businesssolutions and automation workflows.
• Rapidly architect and buildfunctional internal Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate automation viabilitybefore scaling solutions across business units.
• Analyze business processesand operational challenges to determine appropriate AI, automation, analytics,technology, or process-improvement solutions.
• Translate businessrequirements and strategic objectives into practical, high-performingtechnology solutions with measurable business outcomes.
• Coordinate cross-functionalproject teams consisting of operational leaders, business analysts, developers,data specialists, IT resources, and external partners.
• Oversee and directly executethe technical integration of AI solutions with existing business systems,including ERP, CRM, inventory management, field service, financial, andoperational platforms.
• Identify and implementopportunities to improve sales forecasting, quoting and proposal development,pricing and margin analysis, inventory management, procurement, supply chain,fabrication scheduling, quality assurance, service operations, maintenance programs,and administrative workflows.
• Identify opportunities toreduce manual effort, eliminate process bottlenecks, improve dataaccessibility, and enhance organizational decision-making.
• Establish measurableobjectives and key performance indicators for AI initiatives and communicateoperational and financial results to leadership.
• Ensure AI projects aredelivered within established scope, schedule, budget, security, and performanceexpectations.
• Establish governancestandards for the development, deployment, monitoring, and responsible use ofAI technologies.
• Ensure AI initiatives complywith organizational data security standards, privacy requirements, regulatoryobligations, and internal governance requirements.
• Partner with IT,cybersecurity, legal, and operational stakeholders to identify and mitigatetechnology, data, security, and compliance risks.
• Establish controls tomonitor AI solution accuracy, reliability, security, performance, utilization,and business impact.
• Develop and executeorganizational adoption and change-management strategies to support successfulimplementation of AI technologies.
• Develop education andtraining initiatives to improve organizational understanding and effectiveutilization of AI-enabled tools.
• Foster a culture ofinnovation, continuous improvement, responsible experimentation, and adoptionof emerging technologies.
SupervisoryResponsibility:
Thisposition has limited supervisory responsibility that directly relates toprojects and customer relations, not personnel. This role operates as ahigh-level Individual Contributor.
WorkEnvironment:
Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee will mostly be in a standardoffice setting seated at a desk with a computer and phone workstation. Use oftypical office equipment such as, but not limited to printer, scanner, faxmachine, keyboard and smart devices.
PhysicalDemands:
Thephysical demands described here are representative of those that must be met byan employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talkand hear. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending andkneeling. The employee may also sit for long periods of time while driving orworking at a computer workstation. Specific vision abilities required by thisjob include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
PositionType and Expected Hours of Work:
Thisis a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work maybe required as job duties demand.
PreferredEducation and Experience:
• Relevant AI, technology,project management, or cloud-platform certifications.
• 8+ years of progressiveexperience in technology leadership, product management, digitaltransformation, or business systems implementation.
• Minimum 3 years ofexperience leading AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, or automationinitiatives.
• Proven track record ofhands-on deployment, showing individual capability to write code and shipfunctional data/AI tools from concept through deployment.
• Experience supportingindustrial, manufacturing, distribution, service, or operations-focusedorganizations preferred.
RequiredEducation and Knowledge:
• Bachelor's degree incomputer science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration,Data Analytics, or related field required.
• Hands-on, production-levelengineering proficiency in Python or equivalent language standard to modern AIsoftware development.
• Practical technicalunderstanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), engineeringframeworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex), vector databases, retrieval-augmentedgeneration (RAG), and foundational model APIs.
• Knowledge of enterprisebusiness systems including ERP, CRM, inventory management, field service, andoperational technology platforms.
• Exceptional communicationand stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicateeffectively with executives, technical teams, and frontline operationalpersonnel.
• Strong analytical andproblem-solving abilities.
• Experience managingtechnology vendors, consultants, and third-party solution providers.
• Understanding ofcybersecurity, data governance, and responsible AI principles.
• Ability to translatestrategic objectives into actionable technology solutions and measurablebusiness outcomes.
