Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AI Solutions Engineer with an active security clearance to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of an innovative AI application designed to enhance the facilities operation and maintenance preventive maintenance (PM) program. This role requires a hands-on, collaborative professional who thrives in an on-site environment and possesses a strong understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and operational AI solutions.

As the AI SME, you will work with stakeholders to identify bottlenecks, optimize workflows, and deploy robust AI-driven tools to streamline predictive maintenance processes. Your position is vital to ensuring the effective implementation of AI technologies in a high-security and mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement AI-powered applications tailored for facilities operation and maintenance preventive maintenance programs.
  • Analyze existing workflows and processes to identify opportunities for AI-driven enhancements, focusing particularly on predictive maintenance solutions.
  • Build, train, and deploy machine learning models that enable predictive maintenance by analyzing equipment data, detecting anomalies, and forecasting potential failures.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, facilities managers, and IT professionals to align AI solutions with business objectives and operational needs.
  • Generate actionable insights using data modeling, predictive analytics, and advanced statistical techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with all cybersecurity protocols, privacy regulations, and security clearance requirements in both the development and deployment of AI solutions.
  • Perform regular testing and validation of AI models to ensure their accuracy, reliability, and applicability to the PM program.
  • Lead on-site working sessions to provide expert guidance, training, and technical support to stakeholders and team members during implementation.
  • Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and trends, specifically in predictive maintenance and facilities operations, and recommend their application to enhance project outcomes.
  • Provide detailed technical documentation, presentations, and reports on AI system design, development, and performance.


Required Qualifications
  • Security Clearance: Active government TS security clearance
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years software/AI delivery
    • 2+ years applied AI/ML or LLM systems.
    • Proven expertise in building and deploying predictive maintenance AI solutions or analytics systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to work on-site in secure environments.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, with a strong focus on AI and machine learning libraries.
    • Strong knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model development techniques.
    • Experience with AI algorithms and predictive analytics.
    • Knowledge of IoT or sensor data integration for facility equipment monitoring is a strong plus.
    • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for AI solution deployment.
    • Experience working in high-security environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as in a team-oriented environment.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with facilities operations and maintenance workflows.
  • Experience with IBM Maximo integration.
  • Experience with secure air-gapped/local model deployment.
  • Experience with human-in-the-loop workflow, audit logging, and approval controls.
  • Experience with enterprise asset management (EAM) or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Advanced statistics or optimization modeling experience to support cost-effective preventive maintenance practices.
  • Scrum or Agile certifications.


Work Environment
  • Availability to work on-site 3-5 days per week, based on project requirements, in a secure, classified setting.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and IT.


Compensation Details:
$170,000-$210,000 USD Annually
