Full Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW: We are looking for anAI Motion Designer & Video Editorwith 5+ years of experience in motion design, animation, video editing, and digital content production within an agency, studio, or fast-moving creative environment. This is not a traditional post-production role. The ideal candidate combines strong motion craft with an AI-native production mindset. You are highly skilled in visual storytelling, editing, animation, typography, pacing, sound, and design systems. You are also actively experimenting with new AI tools, prompt-to-video platforms, synthetic production workflows, generative image and video models, and emerging creative automation techniques. You will lead and execute motion-based assets across B2B marketing programs, including campaign videos, animated explainers, social content, product storytelling, event assets, presentation motion, generative video experiments, and interactive formats. You will also help Intercept evolve how motion work gets made. That means identifying where AI can accelerate concepting, prototyping, asset generation, editing, versioning, localization, QA, and production at scale, while protecting the human judgment, taste, and craft that make the work great. Responsibilities Include: Motion Design, Editing & Storytelling: • Lead the design, animation, and editing of high-quality motion assets across digital campaigns, websites, social platforms, presentations, events, and sales enablement programs. • Develop storyboards, visual concepts, animatics, and motion treatments for brand storytelling, product marketing, and promotional content. • Edit raw footage, graphics, audio, voiceover, music, and effects into cohesive, polished video content. • Create 2D and 3D animations, kinetic typography, explainer videos, social cutdowns, GIFs, product demos, hype reels, and short-form campaign assets. • Apply strong editorial judgment to pacing, structure, narrative flow, sound design, visual hierarchy, and audience engagement. • Ensure all motion and video work aligns with client brand guidelines, accessibility standards, creative direction, and delivery requirements. AI-Native Creative Production: • Use AI-powered tools to accelerate and enhance motion design, video editing, prototyping, concept development, and asset creation. • Work with prompt-to-video, image-to-video, text-to-image, generative editing, voice, audio, and synthetic production platforms to explore new ways of making video content. • Build early visual prototypes using AI-generated footage, style frames, motion references, synthetic scenes, and generated B-roll. • Create and refine prompts that translate creative direction into usable visual, motion, and video outputs. • Evaluate AI-generated outputs with strong creative judgment, knowing what to keep, what to improve, and what needs to be rebuilt by hand. • Support scalable content versioning, localization, adaptation, and personalization through AI-assisted workflows. • Help develop internal best practices for responsible, brand-safe, and enterprise-ready use of AI in motion and video production. Creative Innovation & Workflow Development: • Partner with Creative, Content, Strategy, Production, and Technology teams to identify where AI can improve quality, speed, scale, and creative range. • Bring forward emerging tools, techniques, and production models that can strengthen Intercept's creative capabilities. • Contribute to the development of repeatable motion and video workflows that can eventually be systematized into Intercept's broader AI-native operating model. • Support experimentation with synthetic presenters, AI-assisted product videos, generative brand systems, modular motion assets, and new forms of B2B storytelling. • Help define what "great" looks like for AI-assisted motion work at Intercept. • Balance experimentation with delivery discipline, ensuring innovation does not compromise quality, trust, or client readiness. Collaboration & Communication: • Collaborate with creative directors, art directors, designers, writers, strategists, account teams, producers, freelancers, and external videographers. • Participate in brainstorms and creative reviews, bringing ideas that are visually strong, strategically relevant, and production-aware. • Communicate clearly about creative choices, production requirements, risks, timelines, and AI workflow recommendations. • Support the Associate Art Director and Creative team on broader design and campaign initiatives as needed. • Help teammates understand new motion, video, and AI production possibilities through examples, demos, and practical guidance. Project Ownership & Delivery: • Manage multiple motion and video projects simultaneously across varying timelines, formats, stakeholders, and levels of complexity. • Take ownership of assigned deliverables from concept through final export. • Work efficiently within project plans, deadlines, review cycles, and production constraints. • Maintain organized files, templates, project structures, prompts, source assets, and version histories. Deliver high-quality work under pressure without losing attention to detail. Required Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in motion design, animation, video editing, or video production. A strong portfolio showing high-quality motion design, editing, visual storytelling, and digital content production. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Strong proficiency with Figma. Working knowledge of web-native or interactive animation tools such as Spline, Rive, Lottie, Ceros, or similar platforms. Experience using AI-powered creative tools such as Runway, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Luma, Pika, Stable Diffusion, Kling, Sora, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of motion principles, typography, composition, rhythm, visual hierarchy, brand systems, and storytelling. Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate strategic direction into compelling motion and video assets. Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work in a fast-moving agency environment.
