State Street Alpha is seeking a highly experienced AI Governance Architect to lead the governance, oversight, and responsible adoption of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-enabled engineering capabilities across organization. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with architecture, engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, product, legal, risk management, and FinOps teams to ensure AI solutions align with enterprise governance, security, regulatory, risk, and cost management standards.
Ideal candidates bring deep experience in AI governance, cloud platforms, responsible AI, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, and financial services control environments, and are energized by building scalable, secure, auditable, and cost-effective AI practices.
What you will be responsible for
Policy Adoption and Standards Tailoring
Evaluate AI technologies and services against enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, regulatory, privacy, operational, and cost management requirements.
Interpret State Street Enterprise Data, AI and Agentic AI policy and translate it into Charles River standards, control requirements and review criteria.
Maintain traceability from each enterprise obligation to the Charles River control that satisfies it, its owner and its evidence.
Represent Charles River in enterprise policy development, ensuring software engineering and cloud operations considerations are reflected.
Identify where enterprise policy does not fit a software engineering organization and secure agreed positions, adaptations or exceptions.
AI Intake, Classification and Approval
Own intake, classification and approval for AI use across engineering, cloud operations and Charles River business functions.
Align classification and inventory to the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and the enterprise risk taxonomy.
Requirements
- Four (4) year degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or another related technical field.
- Four (4) to Twelve (12) years of overall work experience in the world of Financial Technologyand application production support.
- Exposure to SQL and fundamental understanding of relational database theory and/or specific knowledge of Oracle/Microsoft SQL Server
- Exposure to one or more structured programming languagesExtensive experience in system administration 6 system configuration management, resource sharing, operating system fundamentals
- Relevant technical course work and/or technical academic projects.
- Familiarity to using Salesforce for Case tracking is preferred.Knowledge of industry principles and new technologies like cloud computing, virtualization, KAFKA etc. is preferred
- Proven ability to work in a mission-critical production support environment.
Salary Range:
$120,000 - $202,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
