Location: McLean, VA / Washington, DC area (Hybrid)

About the role

We're hiring an AI Architect to design and build AI-native systems for fintech and consumer-facing products. You'll own the architecture from the data layer to production and work across many languages and databases.

Must-haves

Recent domain experience: hands-on work in crypto, fintech and B2C applications within the last 6 months

AI-native builder: you design systems with AI at the core, including LLMs, RAG, agents, embeddings and model integration in production, not as an add-on

Polyglot engineer: strong in more than one language, such as Python, TypeScript/Node, Go, Java or Rust

Many kinds of databases: relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra), vector (Pinecone, pgvector, Weaviate), caching (Redis) and ledger or time-series stores

Architecture depth: scalable, secure, low-latency systems for high-volume consumer apps

What you'll do

Design end-to-end AI architecture for crypto and fintech products

Choose the right models, data stores and integration patterns for each use case

Build and review proof-of-concepts, then take them to production

Guide engineering teams on AI best practices, security and compliance

Work directly with clients and stakeholders to turn business needs into technical designs

Nice to have

Blockchain or wallet integrations, payments or KYC/AML systems

Cloud AI platforms (AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, GCP Vertex)

Experience in regulated environments (SOC 2, PCI-DSS)
