Responsibilities- Working with cross-functional teams to identify and apply AI solutions to operational workflows and processes.
- Analyzing workflows to define problems, prioritizing AI use cases based on value, impact, feasibility, and risk, and contributing to business cases and implementation plans.
- Designing, building, and configuring AI solutions such as agents, automations, and integrations, working from requirements gathered with business and technical teams.
- Prototyping and testing AI solutions, including prompt design and evaluating model outputs for accuracy and reliability.
- Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) and monitoring usage, accuracy, and performance of AI-enabled tools, ensuring they meet data privacy and security standards.
- Helping build user confidence and capability with AI-enabled tools through training, guidance, and ongoing support.
- Staying informed on emerging AI technologies and contributing to the evaluation and recommendation of tools and platforms.
Qualifications- Degree or diploma in computing science, information technology, engineering, data science, business administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in software development, data science, business analysis, or technology implementation.
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI, with a track record of applying AI tools to solve real problems at work or in personal projects.
- Hands-on experience building with AI tools, such as scripting, low-code automation, or working with APIs.
- Experience with Python, or with training and fine-tuning models, is an asset.
- Demonstrated business acumen, including process mapping and requirements documentation, with the ability to translate business needs into AI-enabled solutions that improve operational workflows and outcomes.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to explain AI clearly to field and project teams, from superintendents to executives, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through ambiguous problems and find practical solutions.
