The Advisor Solutions Consultant will act as a technical and sales resource for investment advisors, focusing on our $750M Fixed Income SMA platform, which includes Government, Corporate, and Impact strategies. This is a developmental role designed for a professional with 3-7 years of experience who aims to transition into a full External Wholesaler role within the next 1 to 3 years.
Areas of Focus will Include:

Strategy & Business Development
- Growth Initiatives: Self starter capabilities. Develop and execute proactive strategies to identify new potential clients and generate interest in Lorica's differentiated products, particularly our Impact Fixed Income strategies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with National Accounts, Client Services Manager, and the Investment Team to align sales targets and ensure a seamless client experience.
- Influence Management: Work with internal and external parties who influence sales and product placement within client firms.
Role Evolution
- Hybrid Presence: Maintain a consistent office presence in Toronto to coordinate with the Manager, Client Services, investment and operations teams.
- Market Expansion: Gradually increase external activities, including travel and face-to-face advisor presentations, as the role evolves toward a senior wholesaling capacity.
Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 5+ years of experience in an investment wholesaling or advisor-facing role within the Canadian financial services industry.
- Education: A University degree is required.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for explaining complex fixed income concepts to sophisticated advisors.
- Technical Proficiency: A strong understanding of the CIRO advisor market and their platforms. As well as fixed income markets, SMA structures, and the competitive landscape of the Canadian asset management industry.

- Collaborative Spirit: A "team-first" approach to working with portfolio managers and national accounts as well as compliance.
- Adaptability: Comfortable in a role that balances internal office coordination with external business development.
- Strategic Thinking: The ability to move beyond transactional support to become a trusted consultant for high-net-worth advisor teams.
