The
Medical College of Wisconsin's Division of Cardiology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to provide specialty medical care in
General Cardiology within the
Outpatient setting.
This position is located at
Froedtert Drexel Town Square Health Center (DTSHC) in
Oak Creek, WI. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will have a strong foundation in evidence-based practice, and ensure an environment of safe quality patient care.

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care teams in diagnosis & treatment of conditions requiring Cardiovascular intervention in the outpatient setting
- Collaborate with cross-department healthcare teams for management of cardiovascular disease
- Perform procedures as identified by outpatient Cardiology services
- Perform comprehensive histories & physical exams, identify normal & abnormal findings including physical, cognitive, & psychosocial status
- Order, perform, & interpret screening & diagnostic procedures and tests, and appropriately communicate & document information
- Engage and educate patients & families
- Provide cross-coverage on consult service
Schedule:- Full time, 1.0 fte
- Hours are typically Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with flexibility required as needed to accommodate patient care & business needs

Qualifications:Preferred Experience: - Prefer core APP experience in cardiovascular hospital-based care. Previous outpatient, inpatient, adult care, acute care, &/or critical care Cardiology PA, NP, &/or RN experience strongly preferred. Pacemaker & ICD programming skills are desirable, but not required.
Minimum Education:- Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
Minimum Requirements:Advanced Practice Nurse/ Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner- Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse
- Certification as an Adult Care NP and/or FNP preferred
- BLS
- DEA
Physician Assistant- Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
- Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
