Hiring Range $130,000.00 - $155,000.00 Actual pay depends on specialty, experience, and performance. Riverside is currently seeking a Full- Time Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our team at Riverside Pulmonary & Critical Care Specialists in Newport News, Virginia. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to provide high-quality patient care in collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Position Summary The Advanced Practice Provider will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions as well as critically ill patients. This role may include a combination of outpatient clinic responsibilities, inpatient rounding, and critical care coverage. Essential Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations. Diagnose and manage pulmonary conditions, including COPD, asthma, pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung disease, sleep disorders, and respiratory infections. Provide care for critically ill patients in intensive care and hospital settings. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans. Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic study results. Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with licensure and organizational policies. Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, care managers, and other healthcare professionals. Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care. Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the electronic medical record. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support evidence-based clinical practice. Qualifications • Nurse Practitioners Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Current or eligible Virginia Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) • Physician Assistants Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current or eligible Virginia Physician Assistant license National certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) • Licensure & Regulatory Requirements Eligible for Virginia licensure at time of hire DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start date) BLS certification required; ACLS preferred based on practice setting.
