Due to system growth and expansion, we are recruiting for an
Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our expanding team. Our program is currently staffed by 2 Board Certified Heart Failure Physicians, as well as 3 heart failure advanced practice providers and 2 clinical pharmacists. This new role will contribute to the continued growth and development our heart failure program, including establishing a destination left ventricular assist device (LVAD) center at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center (with an anticipated launch in early 2027).
The position offers the following opportunities:
- Inpatient and cardiac ICU rounding on dedicated heart failure team
- Outpatient management across the spectrum of heart failure patients
- Robust sarcoid, amyloid and pulmonary hypertension programs
- Opportunities to further expand into HCM and other rare disease states
- Dedicated/protected Cath lab time for right heart catheterization, endomyocardial biopsy, implantable pulmonary artery sensors and other procedures (if interested)
- Robust research program with dedicated staff for heart failure clinical trials
- Protected administration time to complete tasks and focus on areas of interest
- Potential partnership and shared-care management of transplant patients with regional partners
This position benefits from:

- Board certification (or eligibility) in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Medicine

- Interest in PAH, HCM, Genetics, Critical Care are all welcome but not required for position
