Pay Range: $125,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job summary:

RWJBH is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider for our Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Service at the New Brunswick Campus

Essential Functions:
  • Candidates should possess effective time management and trauma assessment skills
  • Must be able to adapt and adjust to a large volume of acute patient population
  • This is a daytime role only
  • The APPs work in collaboration with the acute care surgical residency to provide high level care for trauma and acute care surgery patients
  • Care provided the majority as inpatient with flexing to outpatient when required,

Education:
  • Graduate of an Acute Care NP program
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

Experience:
  • Skills with procedures such as chest tube placement, suturing, and wound care are preferable
  • 2 years of Trauma/Acute Care Surgery experience preferred
  • Must be able to work autonomously and be willing to provide support to surgical residency programs

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Current NJ APN/PA license required
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited certifying body required
  • NCCPA certification required
  • CDS required
  • DEA required
  • BLS required
