Job summary:RWJBH is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider for our Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Service at the New Brunswick Campus
Essential Functions:- Candidates should possess effective time management and trauma assessment skills
- Must be able to adapt and adjust to a large volume of acute patient population
- This is a daytime role only
- The APPs work in collaboration with the acute care surgical residency to provide high level care for trauma and acute care surgery patients
- Care provided the majority as inpatient with flexing to outpatient when required,
Education:- Graduate of an Acute Care NP program
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Experience:- Skills with procedures such as chest tube placement, suturing, and wound care are preferable
- 2 years of Trauma/Acute Care Surgery experience preferred
- Must be able to work autonomously and be willing to provide support to surgical residency programs
Licenses and Certifications:- Current NJ APN/PA license required
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited certifying body required
- NCCPA certification required
- CDS required
- DEA required
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- ATLS required
