Riverside is currently seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider to join our Radiation Oncology team at Riverside Cancer Care Center in Newport News, Virginia.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a collaborative oncology team dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered cancer care throughout the community.
The Advanced Practice Provider will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care to radiation oncology patients. Responsibilities include evaluating and managing patients post radiation in follow-up, , reviewing imaging and lab work for surveillance post cancer treatment, providing education and counseling, coordinating care, and supporting quality outcomes within an evidence-based practice environment.
• Nurse
Practitioners- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current or eligible Virginia Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license
- National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
• Physician
Assistants- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current or eligible Virginia Physician Assistant license
- National certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Licensure
& Regulatory Requirements- Eligible for Virginia licensure at time of hire
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred based on practice setting.
