SUMMARY OF POSITION:The Adult Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist provides advanced clinical expertise in hematology, oncology, and/or cellular therapy pharmacotherapy services. As a subject matter expert, this role collaborates with hematology/oncology physicians, advanced practice providers, and oncology nurse coordinators to improve patient outcomes by assisting providers in optimizing chemotherapy regimens and supportive care by recommending appropriate drug, dose, route, and duration based on patient factors and optimize patient flow for inpatient admissions as well as promote initiatives to increase utilization of outpatient/infusion services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Doctorate degree Pharm D
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of Pennsylvania.
- A PGY-2 Oncology residency with BCOP required within one (1) year of hiring
- A PGY-1 general practice residency + three (3) years of relevant experience and BCOP required within one (1) year of hiring
- Six (6) years of relevant experience and BCOP required within one (1) year of hiring
