Full Job Description
We are seeking an Actuarial Associate to join our North American Life Modelling team. In this role, you will support high-impact modelling initiatives that strengthen tools, processes, model quality, and controls. You will work closely with colleagues within the modelling team and collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Pricing, and Valuation. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong candidate with AXIS modelling experience to deepen their expertise, broaden their exposure across the business, and contribute in a dynamic reinsurance environment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Maintain and enhance AXIS valuation models for life and health reinsurance treaties, including retrocessions.
• Model new treaties.
• Help improve valuation tools, streamline processes, and enhance controls to increase model quality, transparency, and efficiency.
• Contribute to model validation, audit support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across functions and support broader team initiatives as well as ad hoc projects.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• ASA designation or progress toward it, including at least three SOA exams or equivalent CIA education.
• Experience with AXIS modelling.
• Strong Excel skills, including experience with VBA.
• Knowledge of R and SQL is an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected base salary range for this position, when hired into our Toronto location, is CAD $92,610 - $113,190 per year. For positions based in other jurisdictions, compensation will be determined in alignment with local regulations, market benchmarks, and internal compensation frameworks. The above range reflects the typical base salary range for candidates hired into this position. The actual salary will vary depending on a number of factors, including job location, experience, qualifications, education/training, skills, market conditions, and alignment with the role's requirements.
In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in our annual incentive program, payment under which is at the discretion of PartnerRe and subject to individual and company performance.
