Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA (or equivalent certification) preferred
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
1-2 years' experience in manufacturing and cost accounting
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
Advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills
Comfortable using AI tools to improve efficiency and automate tasks

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations, along with the ability to work efficiently with modern tools - including AI-powered software - to streamline day-to-day accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies independently
Oversee accounts payable processes, research and resolve any issues with vendor/buyer, ensure timely, accurate weekly payment run
Support month-end and quarter-end close processes
Ensure accurate and timely employee reimbursement
Develop and maintain standard costs, analyze production costs and reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Assist with forecasting, and variance analysis, and assist with audit requests
Identify process improvement opportunities, including leveraging AI tools to automate and speed up routine tasks
Mentor and provide guidance to accounting staff
Assist with and/or manage ad hoc reporting, analysis, or other projects as assigned
Requirements

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ERP system implementation or upgrades
Prior experience mentoring or supervising junior team members

$150K Base - Compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to skill set, years of experience, and geographic location.
